While LACA stays at home [during the Covid-19 pandemic], we are developing a new collection, Live/Work: Artist Studio and Housing Collection. This project invites artists to share ephemera directly related to artist studio and housing issues. Our goal is to contextualize art-making within what is typically seen as an inconsequential site of production.
If you would like to participate in this collection, please share your materials. We are currently gathering: studio leases, mortgages, residencies, contracts, sublet negotiations, or verbal agreements for the rental, home, and studio agreements.
Connect through email, mail, and DM
These materials can be made confidential or information can be anonymous. This collection and its ambitions align with LACA's values to offer a comprehensive view into artistic activity today, by highlighting an underexposed but crucial aspect of art production.
