CA53776V2.gallery is an exhibition space in the cab of a 2007 Ford Ranger. Expanding on a cultural understanding of the dashboard as a place of public display, CA53776V2.gallery exhibits contemporary artistic practices that explore intimacy, touch, and craft on, in, and around the American road space. This project was initiated during the Covid-19 pandemic while the Ranger sat largely unused. California's stay-at-home order positioned the truck’s passenger cab as a glass vitrine, perpetually parked on a residential block in Santa Barbara, California.
This is an index of what was in CA53776V2.gallery and Riviera Parking during Alex Lukas exhibition in Santa Barbara at Riviera Parking April 10 and 11th 2021, when the Ranger temporarily relocated to Riviera Parking.
